The Jakarta Chinese Language Meetup Group provides an opportunity for practicing Mandarin/Chinese language and meeting with new friends. We will invite native Mandarin speakers from China to join us every week. We will have a topic in each event, e.g. 'Chinese food culture'.

We get together without distinction of age, occupation, nationality, race, religion, we get together purely out of the interest of culture and language.

What is HSK （汉语水平考试）?

The Hànyǔ Shuǐpíng Kǎoshì (HSK), (Chinese: 汉语水平考试), translated as Chinese Proficiency Test,or Chinese Standard Exam, is China's only standardized test of Standard Chinese language proficiency for non-native speakers such as foreign students, overseas Chinese, and members of ethnic minority groups in China.

Most Chinese University requires the foreign applicants to have a HSK basic C or higher level as a neccessary qulification.

According to Ministry of Education of The People's Republic of China, the universities in China are opening doors to more and more oversea students. There will be more than 5 hundred thousand oversea students study in China by 2020.
